If you are enroling your child into Bulli Public School you will be required to show documents to verify that the student presenting for enrolment resides within the school’s designated intake area. This is called a 100 point residential check. In exceptional circumstances, the principal may waive this requirement subject to approval by the Director, Educational Leadership.
Click here to see all documentation that is required to complete a 100 point residential check and other documents that are required to complete your enrolment.
Our school can help with enrolment queries throughout the year.
Local enrolment area
Check your address on School Finder to see if it is within our local intake area. Most schools have designated local enrolment areas. Note: local enrolment areas are subject to change.
How to enrol
If you live in our intake area and would like to apply to enrol at our school, start by submitting an online enrolment application. Online enrolment is currently only available for Australian or New Zealand citizens and permanent residents.
If you are not able to apply online or you prefer not to, download the paper application to enrol (PDF 768.4KB) form. Please complete the form in English. A translated application to enrol may help you do this.
Online enrolment can also be used for out-of-area enrolment. Please note that out-of-area enrolment procedures are subject to the department’s enrolment policy.
Enrolment applications are finalised at the school.

Temporary visas and international students
The Temporary Residents Program has information about eligibility and the forms to complete an application.
Distance education
Distance education is an equity program for students who are geographically isolated or whose individual circumstances prevent them from regularly attending school. Students must meet one of the conditions in the Distance Education Enrolment Procedures to be eligible to access this program as a full-time student.
For more information about educational opportunities in rural areas, visit Rural and distance education.
Non-local enrolment
Bulli Public School is currently over the enrolment cap for our setting. As such, we are only able to offer a limited number of non-local enrolments each year. A school panel will consider all non-local enrolments based on the below criteria.
Non-local enrolment criteria
Priority given to the below criteria
- to ensure students with additional needs have access to high-quality public education, students with learning and wellbeing needs requiring reasonable adjustments and/or additional educational support, including cultural considerations, disability, developmental age, trauma, child protection concerns, medical and individual needs and circumstances
- sibling currently attending the school
- parent or carer works at the school*
- *includes all permanent and part-time department staff employed at the school including classroom teachers, the school counselling service, school administration and support staff, and school leaders. Temporary teachers who have been employed at a school for at least 12-months in the last 2-years are also included (temporary teachers employed for less than this time can also be considered at a school’s discretion). This consideration will not be extended to casual employees or contractors.
For those students who do not meet the above criteria it is unlikely that Bulli Public School will be able to offer a placement until student numbers are below the enrolment cap. If there are places available the below criteria will be used in conjunction with availability within the appropriate classroom (including leaving space for local enrolments).
- proximity and access to the school
- safety and supervision of the student before and after school.
We do not use student ability, performance or achievement as a selection criteria.
